License

Cutter Vault License

Effective August 11, 2026

Standard rights included with a purchase or membership claim

When a design is purchased or claimed into your Cutter Vault library, the account holder receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the included STL files for personal projects and for producing cookies, baked goods, craft impressions, or similar finished goods that the account holder may use or sell.

Physical cookie cutters

The standard digital-file license does not include the right to manufacture physical cookie cutters for resale. To sell physical cutters made from Cutter Vault files, the account holder must have an active Commercial Cutter License add-on at the time those cutters are manufactured for sale.

Commercial Cutter License add-on

While the Commercial Cutter License add-on is active, the account holder may manufacture and sell physical cookie cutters produced from designs they have legitimately purchased or claimed in their own Cutter Vault library. The license applies only to physical cutters made by or for that account holder’s business. It does not allow transfer of the source files to another seller, manufacturer, marketplace customer, print-on-demand repository, or file-sharing service.

When the commercial add-on ends

When the paid Commercial Cutter License period ends, the account holder must stop manufacturing new physical cutters for resale from Cutter Vault files unless the add-on is renewed. This does not require recalling physical cutters that were lawfully manufactured and sold while the license was active.

Digital files may never be redistributed

You may not sell, share, gift, sublicense, upload, trade, email, post, bundle, or otherwise provide the STL, ZIP, converted vector, mesh, source geometry, or substantially equivalent digital design file to another person or business. You may not include Cutter Vault source files in another digital product, subscription, membership, file library, or download bundle.

Modifications do not create redistribution rights

Scaling, smoothing, repairing, converting, combining, adding a handle, changing wall thickness, changing file format, or making other technical modifications does not remove these license restrictions or make the underlying digital design eligible for resale or sharing.

Account and production limits

The license belongs to the purchasing account holder. Employees or contractors may use files only as reasonably necessary to produce permitted finished goods for that account holder’s business and may not keep, reuse, or redistribute the files for their own business or another customer.

Third-party rights

A Cutter Vault license grants only the rights The Cutter Vault is authorized to grant in the digital design. It does not grant rights in third-party trademarks, logos, characters, names, publicity rights, or other protected material that may apply to a customer’s separate use or customization.

Termination for misuse

Material file sharing, unauthorized digital resale, credential sharing, or other deliberate license abuse may result in suspension or termination of access, subject to applicable law. Termination does not create a right to continue prohibited uses.
